Standard euro WRX spec vehicles are fitted with either AF530v3-7552-blk-enc , AF530v3-7554-brn-enc  or AF531v3-enc.

Early 2001 WRX model were fitted with AF530v3 (either 7552 blk(BLACK ECU LABEL) or 7554(BROWN ECU LABEL).

You cannot change one ECU version to another by reprogramming.

You can "copy and paste" maps from one version of ROM file to another (i.e. copy and paste a af531v3 boost table
into an af530v3...)

Early WRX (ie AF530v3 ECUs) suffer from hesitation (caused by retarded ignition and over rich A.F.R.).

Look at af531v3 and af530v3 ignition correction maps to see the af531 is "allowed" to 
run more maximum ignition correction. Also check "Lo DET" and Hi Det" AFR's.

are tried and tested program suitable for a Standard WRX vehicle(or vehicle with performance rear box only).

We have increased boost pressure from 0.95 Bar to 1.14 Bar (dont forget 1 bar of atmospheric pressure is also displayed)
and hold the boost pressure higher up the RPM range before dropping again.

We have also increased the Maximum "Wastegate Duty Cycles". 
Note that the Boost pressure table is not "progressive with throttle" but the "Duty Cycles" are. This gives very stable
part throttle boost control. 
Also note we have changed the RPM scaling to give greater control (more resolution) of boost pressure via "wastegate duty cycles"
around 2800 rpm to 3500 rpm (peak torque/boost).
The Wastegate duty cycles are set to zero at 6800rpm to reduce boost pressure to minimum just before the rev limiter.

Ignition advance has also been added on the main ignition map to encourage better turbo spool and increase maximum BHP.

The "lo det" fuel table has been leaned slightly to provide better fuel consumption and a more favourable AFR.
The "Hi det" fuel table remains untouched thus retaining all the standard safty margins in times of need.  

"knock learning threshold" has been increased to the end "load" zone to encourage better learning of ignition correction
on full throttle/full power.

Boost Limit is raised from 1.2 bar to 1.25 bar.

This program typically delivers 245 BHP and 245 lbs.ft (333Nm) torque used with Super Unleaded fuel(97 octane).
It has also been tested with 95 octane and although a slight power reduction is recorded it is still VERY SAFE..
